A Bee Photo

A Bee Photo

One day we were relaxing on the balcony and for hours, there was a bumble bee that would rest on the balcony railing for minutes at a time, fly off, and return.  It was the most peculiar thing so, eventually I figured I could get close enough to take some interesting shots:

A Deer!

A Deer!

Went for a quick walk around Theodore Roosevelt Island and came across this guy.  I was probably no more than 4 feet from him when taking these photos.  It was pretty wild.

I wandered around and snapped a few shots of the animals. While the pandas were amusing as usual, even more entertaining were the gorillas and an orangutan who spent hours entertaining crowds through a window by regurgitating his half-digested food, placing it on the window, and then licking it back up.
